Our Founders

Psych Health was founded over 15 years ago and continues to be led today by Clinical Psychologists Dr Joe Buckman and Dr Ben Barnaby, who have over 20 years’ experience in a wide variety of public and private sector service settings.

Their mission was simple – to provide accessible, high-quality mental health care to individuals and organisations to optimise outcomes for all, whilst never compromising on the delivery of safe, appropriate, quality clinical care.  This is achieved through nurturing a team of expert clinicians covering the full spectrum of mental health professions and specialisms to ensure that individual needs are met safely and appropriately, and investment in market-leading clinical governance and quality assurance structures to ensure that we never compromise on the quality of the clinical care we deliver. 

We believe passionately that excellent clinical care is achieved by supporting clinicians and our organisational culture is built to help clinicians develop to be the best clinicians they can be, with quality clinical work at the heart of our business.

A key aspect of Psych Health’s success is our ethos of partnership working with clients.  The Psych Health team offers strategic advice and mental health assessment and treatment services to over 200 employers to optimise mental health strategies and maximise the mental health and wellbeing of their workforce.  Being able to meet the needs of both individuals and organisations is fundamental to the Psych Health approach.
